Washing is the obvious first step. Be sure to use the 2-Bucket Method to get your car or truck as clean as possible without scratching.

Iron particles won't be removed by just washing. Use an iron remover to chemically remove them.

A clay bar will finish the decontamination by gliding over the surface and picking up other embedded road grime.

Polishing away light swirls and scratches need to be done now because it can't be done after applying the ceramic coating.

The last step before applying the coating is isopropyl alcohol wipe down. This will remove any remaining oils and ensure nothing remains on your paint.

You need to ensure that you have a location that is not in direct sunlight and will not be exposed to water that could get onto the coating before it has time to cure.

Before applying the coating it is worth the time and effort to mask off trim, headlights, etc. to protect them from accidentally getting the ceramic coating on them.

Whether you're using the provided applicator or a microfiber rag, just apply small drops to it. A little goes a long way. Also, if you're using microfiber you'll want to discard it afterward.

Most ceramic coatings have limited working time. It's best to apply to a 2' x 2' section and then move on to a new section after you've buffed it.

Once the 2' x 2' section of ceramic coating has flashed you should then buff it thoroughly with a microfiber rag to remove the excess coating and level the coating.

Move on to the next 2' x 2' section. Be sure to overlap slightly with previous sections you've applied your coating onto to ensure you don't miss spots.

Now that you've applied your coating to the entire vehicle, it needs time to cure. This could be 48 hours or more. Avoid any water during this time. This includes, rain, sprinklers, dew, or any other source.
